Shirley: VBS Flyer for Nokendai Bible Fellowship

Here it is! Jack designed our postcard flyer that we will be mailing and giving out today at Nokendai Bible Fellowship (NBF). Our service is from 3-4PM Sunday afternoons at a community center in the city of Nokendai, just on the southern border of Yokohama.

We are in the middle of rainy season now, so many families have been missing week to week. Still, we pray the Lord would bring the children and parents He wants us to meet this summer. We pray for a generous sowing of seeds for a generous harvest in the very near future. Thanks so much for parterning with us in this ministry. May the Lord bless the works of our hands.

Al: Singing Practice

One of the regular activities we do when we meet is to learn and practice the the hand motions of the VBS songs. Here, some of the team work on their hand motions. The more we sing these songs, the more I like them.

Mei-Ling: 5 weeks to go

Just 5 more weeks before our departure. Please continue to pray for the Tokorozawa team as I believe, their housing situation is still up in the air. Patti is at Mt. Hermon this week serving as a Special Camp counselor/helper for those with disabilities.

Back here, there is still much to be done. I still need to purchase travel/medical insurance for the team, plan for at least 2 more meetings, finalize our in-country budget and purchase yen for our trip. I hope you are all excited as I am.

For the Nokendai team, I got the idea of a game of whiffle ball with the kids. Maybe I was watching a baseball game on TV. I thought it might be kind of fun to have a game. Give me your thoughts; I'll also pass the idea by Shirley.
